This series of six (6) three-hour live online classes is a follow up to our CT123 course and our CT223 course.
There are plenty of opportunities for Q&A. You do not have to complete CT123 or CT223 to take any class in this series.
This series is ideal for directors, cinematographers, DITs, post supervisors, editors, VFX artists, conform artists, colorists, assistant colorists, and anyone else interested in knowing more about color grading and daVinci Resolve.
This series builds on the color knowledge of our CT123 course and the fundamentals of our CT223 course to unleash the final color skills needed to elevate the visual impact of the footage. We subtlely manipulate colors, contrast, and saturation to breathe life into the imagery and immerse the audience in captivating visual narratives.
The series begins by explaining the allure of the film look and the elements that contribute to it. We continue by exploring tools that isolate and spatial tools that go beyond the realm of LUTs. The focus is always on practical applications.
Kevin Shaw stays at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies and industry trends, continuously refining his craft, so the program could not end without applying the knowledge and techniques gained to the broader canvas of HDR, including the latest developments from Dolby. Kevin is unwavering in his commitment to perfection and approaches each project with an insatiable hunger to understand the vision and painstakingly translate it into a meaningful reality.
Students that take at the complete series of six classes receive an ICA certificate.
Each class will be recorded and made available to participants and to those who could not attend the live session.
