About Diego
Diego Yhama is a colorist, university professor, and trainer based in Colombia. He loves football and barbeque with a good beer.
He started his career in the industry working in VFX and then he became an Autodesk trainer in the Creative Finishing department. He worked initially with Smoke, Flame, and later in the color grading part with Lustre. He was also a postproduction coordinator and colorist in different companies where he graded films, episodics, and documentaries. See a schedule of Diego’s upcoming classes
In 2015 he started Estudio Roco, a color boutique house and switched from Lustre to DaVinci Resolve. During this period he worked as a colorist, grading productions for NatGeo, Discovery Channel, Discovery Home and Health, and The Fox Channel. After that, several colorists contacted him about learning best practices for working with DaVinci Resolve.
In 2017 he worked as a demo artist for BlackmagicDesign at NAB in Las Vegas. The same year he became DaVinci Resolve Master Trainer for South America. He has taught color in nine countries, several universities, and postproduction companies, and he continues to work a demo artist at NAB.
In 2019 started working with the the sales department of DaVinci Resolve for Latin America, The same year he became an instructor for LinkedIn learning. He writes articles for Tvyvideo magazine and works closely with Sony Latin America on video Workflow demos.
