About Andrea
Andrea Vassalini is a DaVinci Resolve Master Trainer, colorist, video and audio editor, musician, arranger, and singer. He’s the founder of the AV Training company, a training reality that delivers courses in Italian and English. He mainly works on short and independent films, videoclips and advertising. He became a Blackmagic Design Certified Trainer for all five Resolve levels in London, an Avid Certified Trainer for ProTools in Manchester (UK), a ProTools Expert and an Apple Certified Trainer for Final Cut Pro X, delivering private and certified courses. Andrea started his career as a musician and arranger in 1990 with exhibitions in RAI and Sky and working on some Billy Cobham and Ivano Fossati projects. His passion for technology brought him into the creative world of audio, video, and color.
In 2017 BlackMagic Design asked Andrea to demonstrate DaVinci Resolve during their European tour and from then on he started a close partnership with the company.
Other partnerships include companies as LaCie, Wacom, Asus and X-Rite (as part of their Coloratti Team).
Andrea works as a ProTools, FCPX and DaVinci Resolve freelance consultant and he prepared the Fox Entertainment creative team in Rome on DaVinci Resolve. He trained the RAI team, the Istituto Luce (Cinecitta’) and he works as a trainer for the prestigious swiss university SUPSI. Andrea is an accomplished trainer and teaches at renowned institutions such as the Accademia del Suono (Milan), Percorsi Video (Rome) and Tripler Academy (Bari).
