Famous Studios in Mumbai are looking out for an experienced senior Colorist to help them remotely whilst the travel ban is in place. They asked me for help so I asked some questions to help clarify what type of colorist they need.
What type of projects? – TV Commercials, Long format (Film and OTT) – We are a Netflix NP3 partner and are actively pitching for new projects as we speak. Plenty of good work in the market but colourist is always the key here in Mumbai.
What software? – Baselight with Blackboard 2, Sony BVM OLED 4K monitor. However, in the short term we need a colourist who has a system at their place. We are happy to explore all remote grading options.
What length and type of contract? – We are open to this, ideally 6 months to a year.
Salary? – All depends on who is interested. Since we will be limited to remote grading, it might be important to understand the workflows with potential colourists and then we could figure out salary/hourly rate or even if the colourist is available for freelance. As of now, we are open to options.
