About Nikolai
Nikolai Waldman, CSI has been color grading for 25 years and is based in Sweden. For the past decade, he was co-owner and lead colorist at CAN Film, a post-production facility specializing in feature films and high-end drama series. Now working as a freelancer again, Nikolai not only grades films and series but also develops custom software solutions for the film industry, consults on technical workflows, and teaches post-production. He began his career in 1994 as an editor and gradually transitioned through VFX and online editing into color grading. His portfolio includes commercial clients like Volvo Cars and IKEA, as well as international films such as Godland (Iceland, premiered at Cannes), Hammarskjöld (Sweden), Unicorns (UK), Hidden Identity (Italy), Neon Flesh (Spain), and many more.
When not in a dark grading suite, Nikolai enjoys scuba diving and exploring new places around the world.
