Just back from Tokyo where I was asked to present a one day seminar. Its a long way for a day but I thought it would be fun to see how color grading is changing there, since I have not been for about 5 years.
Imagine my surprise when strolled into the presentation theatre to find 3 projectors, 2 translators and an MC! We had prepared a slide show in Japanese (but I kept my notes in English) and I had a trusty Film Master to do live demonstrations.
In short it was a great success. 120 people turned up with plenty of questions to keep the presentation on track. Thats the biggest audience I have had so far!
